What is Klarna?

Klarna is a Swedish payment service provider that takes full responsibility for your payment. Klarna provides smoooth payments to over 500,000 online stores. More than 150 million customers worldwide trust Klarna for secure handling of their payments.

Can I use Klarna’s service?

To use Klarna, you must be at least 18 years old. The availability of this payment method depends on your financial situation. Klarna will assess it within a few seconds. Our assessment will not affect your credit score. Additionally, to pay in 3 installments, you will need a valid debit, credit, or prepaid card. A valid card means one registered in your name, active, and with at least 60 days of validity from the purchase date. The card must also have sufficient funds to cover the purchase amount.

How can I increase my chances of using Klarna’s services?

Klarna offers payments based on a variety of factors, such as the order value, previous order history, and item availability. If you are 18 or older, you can increase your chances of paying with Klarna by providing your full name, accurate address details, and shipping to your registered billing address. All orders are assessed individually. Using Klarna once does not automatically guarantee approval for future purchases. Similarly, if your application is declined, it does not mean it will be declined for future orders.

How does the “Pay in 30 Days” service work in an online store?

The “Pay in 30 Days” service allows you to delay payment for your purchase by 30 days at no extra cost, as long as you pay on time. After your order is confirmed, you will receive an email from Klarna within two days with payment instructions. You can also download the free Klarna app to track all your purchases. The 30-day payment period starts from when the store ships your order. Klarna will remind you when the payment due date is approaching. Payments can be made by card, online transfer, either in the free Klarna app or by logging in at www.klarna.com/pl.

How does the “Pay in 3 Installments” service work in an online store?

With this service, you can split the cost of your purchase into three equal parts. To complete the purchase, you must enter your card details. Klarna does not charge interest or fees for card payments. During the purchase, Klarna blocks an amount equal to the first installment on your card as a pre-authorization, which will not be available for other purchases. Once confirmation is received that the products have been shipped by the store, the first installment will be automatically charged to the card using the previously blocked amount. This transaction will appear in your card’s transaction history. If the items are not shipped, Klarna will release or refund the previously blocked amount, which will then be available for other purchases. The release process may take a few days, depending on your bank.

When will I pay the next installments?

The second installment will be charged 30 days after the first payment, and the final installment will be charged 60 days after the first payment. Installments are automatically charged to your card on the due date. If you prefer, you can also pay the second and third installments yourself via online transfer. The installment payment dates can be checked in the email from Klarna or in the Klarna app.

What cards does Klarna accept?

Klarna accepts most credit, debit, and prepaid cards. Cards that are close to their expiration date may not be accepted. We will inform you during checkout if your card is not accepted.

Can I pay before the due date?

You can pay for your order at any time after receiving the email from Klarna with the payment details. To pay for your order, simply follow the instructions provided in the email or in the Klarna app. Paying earlier does not involve any additional costs.

Will Klarna check my credit history?

Klarna may perform so-called “soft inquiries” or a soft credit check, which do not affect your credit score. These are visible only to you and Klarna. Neither Klarna nor the online store offering Klarna payments check your credit history in a way that could impact your credit rating.

Why can’t I use Klarna payments?

The availability of Klarna payments is generated automatically and depends on several factors, including the order amount, the online store, your previous order history, and the availability of the item. If you cannot use Klarna this time, complete your purchase using another payment method.

What happens if I don’t pay for my order?

Payment must be made within 30 days after the store ships your order. Klarna will remind you by email and SMS about the upcoming payment deadline. Just like you, we want the payment to be made on time. Please note that Klarna may charge statutory late fees for overdue and/or unpaid amounts. If you do not pay on time or fail to meet your obligations, you may lose the ability to use Klarna’s services in the future. In extreme cases, Klarna may work with an external agency to collect the payment on our behalf.

I was asked to go to Klarna’s website. Is that okay?

If you choose to use Klarna payments, you will receive an email with further details about how to pay. Your email will include a link to Klarna’s website, where you can complete the payment by credit or debit card, BLIK, or online transfer.

What information do I need to provide when making a purchase?

If you are making a purchase with Klarna for the first time, we will ask you to provide your first and last name, address, email address, and PESEL number. For some orders, you may also need to provide your mobile phone number or date of birth. If you want to use installment payments, we will also need your card details (debit or credit). All information, including payment reminders and links to your online invoices, will be sent to your email address. It is very important to provide accurate information; otherwise, you will not receive payment information.

Is my payment information safe?

Klarna is a bank. Payment information is processed by Klarna following the highest security standards used in banking. All transactions take place through connections secured with the latest security protocol standards. Card details are neither shared with nor stored by the store.

Can I pay before the due date?

You can pay for your order at any time after receiving the email from Klarna with the payment details. To pay for your order, simply follow the instructions provided in the email or in the Klarna app.

Have you received my payment?

Klarna sends a payment confirmation to the email address used to place the order. If the payment has been made but you haven’t received a confirmation, check the status of your order and payment by logging into the Klarna app or at www.klarna.com/pl.

What happens to my invoice if I return an item?

When the store receives and confirms a partial or full return of your purchase, Klarna will adjust your invoice and send it to you, and the payment plan will be updated accordingly. In the case of a full return, the invoice will be closed. You can monitor the status of your order in the Klarna app.

I have already received the invoice, but the order has not been delivered yet.

You have 30 days to pay, so you don’t need to pay immediately. If the payment due date is approaching and your order has still not been delivered, call the store to check the shipment. You can also contact Klarna customer support so we can extend your payment deadline or put your order on hold in the Klarna app while you wait for delivery.

I want to cancel my order. When will I receive a refund?

The refund will be processed within 14 days from the moment the store registers the cancellation of your order.
